Last night I had gone to the New York City Halloween parade. I have not been there for a past few years, but thought to go this time around. It’s usually a fun event to go to, people of all ages dressed in costume, local bars with drink specials and of course the parade itself.
The parade itself ran a much shorter route than in years past due to city budget cuts with NYPD over time cost. Local news did report beforehand that the route would be shorter because of this. And I have to admit it did affect the parade.
The streets were over crowded with people, now that is normal with any parade, but in this case you were barely able to move around in the crowds like previous years before. Where I originally planned to stand to take photos turned out this year not to be a good location due to the overcrowding of people there so I ended up on one of the local side streets to take photos of the event.
Some of the costumes worn by people at the event were typical ones you might see for Halloween, such as Wonder Woman, Superman and so on. Plus a few that did catch my attention and would not be considered a typical costume. You will see from some of the photos below.
With that said… He are my photos of the adventures I had at the Halloween Parade.
