I will never ever ever understand why things like this happen. Specially in a country like the US, were its government prides itself to be so efficient, yet you're still waiting for something so needed. Healthcare companies are horrific, public and privates alike, it is all about making money not about the person's needs. It's almost sadistic in a way.
I honestly hope you get help soon.

As for your experience, I have no idea why certain things in life happen. Almost like life puts you in the most difficult and lowest situations imaginable, but what I do know is that you cannot give up ever, you must find your own answers and purpose, always continue fighting, and the mere fact that you are still here shows your own endurance. You will overcome this because you have been a fighter, spiritually and physically.

I've really grown to admire your talent in time with your photography and writing, but now a different type of admiration has grown as you share with us your experience and recovery.

As for your post, people always react differently to situations like this one. Some may even seem apathetic just because they have no idea how to react, simply because they don't know anyone who's been in your shoes before, others are just genuinely ignorant. Sadly it's the world we're living in, where lately not many care about other's situations and hardships unless it affects them directly in some way. Perhaps your documented journey can help educate people about it and make a difference in someone else's life.

You're incredibly brave and strong, and I truly admire how genuine you always seem to me.

I wish you a full and quick recovery in all senses.

Well its good to know that despite the s word, it hasn't dimish your spirit. Yes, its real fucked up of how folks can be so insensitive regardless of knowledge of your situation or not. Its all about common courtesy and respect! During times like this, u can be sure of the ones that offer that emotional support unconditionally. In regards to the ones who choose to ignore you during this time well cut your loses and move on. On a lighter note, it good that to know that you are coming along despite this. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.....

That's political discourse in the 21st century for you. It's this all-or-nothing mentality. If, God forbid, you agree with some, but by no means all, of a candidates positions, you're automatically labeled a racist, a homophobe, etc.

For example, I strongly agree with Ron Paul's positions on foreign policy, civil liberties, transparency, and torture. And in many ways, he puts President Obama to shame. (Obama just signed a bill authorizing the indefinite detention of Americans on American soil without charge or trial!!)

Does that mean I'm a racist now because Ron Paul's name was associated with a bunch of racist crap published under his name in the late 90s and I support some of his positions?

It's really sad.

And Happy New Year!
