Yesterday while on my way home from a day of errands, I have noticed that the sky had an odd look to it. It was not your typical autumn (fall) sky. But it looked more like a mix of a sunny, hazy day and a mix of clouds that could have been storm clouds.
After noticing this and realizing that the sun was about to set, I walked over to the Brooklyn Bridge walk way and found a good spot to take photos of the sun as sunset was about to start. Sunset was scheduled for 6:41 pm yesterday and these photos were taken during the time of 5:57 pm – 6:03 pm. It was that point where they sun seems to be prominent in the sky just before it disappears past the horizon.
The position of the sun and clouds plus the reflection of light from the water in the harbor did make it unique and beautiful I thought. So I pulled out my camera, attached my lens hood and UV lens filter, and took a total of four photos, two in color and two in black and white.
Once I finally got home and reviewed the photos, I have realized that they came out better than I thought they would, and thought to post them on my blog to share. Below are the four images of the sunset.
