DON’T SHOP AT THE PRO LINE STORE ON ATLANTIC AVE IN BROOKLYN NYC, THEY HAVE FAKE ITEMS.

During the week while getting ready to step outside to take care of a few items, I had noticed when I was getting ready that the watch band on my Tag Heuer watch was coming apart. Now of course the last thing that I want to do is lose a very expensive watch on the streets of New York.

Now I have to admit that I have a thing for time pieces, I actually have two Tag Heuer watches. When I noticed that the band on my watch was slowly coming apart, I pulled out my other watch only to realize that I forgot that the battery needed to be replaced on that watch as well. So I figured that while I was out and about that I would get another watch to hold me over until I get both Tag Heuer watches repaired.

Seems simple enough to do until I went out to get a temporary replacement watch, after some time and thinking about what would be the replacement. I had decided to get myself a Casio G-Shock watch. While in downtown Brooklyn I had walked past a Pro Line electronics store and had noticed that they had the watch that I was looking for.

What really sparked my interest was the fact that the cost was quite low, only seventy dollars the store had it for.

The manufactures cost is actually one-hundred dollars. So I thought originally was a good deal. I went in to take a look at it and thought that it was fine and I purchased it. After an extremely short time span, the watch literally fell apart on me.

After doing some on-line research I have discovered that the watch was a fake. And I could not return the item for it was a final sale. So I thought to go back to the store and do some “investigative exploring.” It turns out that all of their electronic items are fake; they look good at first glance but the overall quality is extremely poor. To the unexpected person it might look like the real thing, such as an I-Pod, a major brand DVD player, camera and so on, but they are actually not the real thing. You might think you are getting a good deal, but you are actually getting ripped off.

This particular Pro Line electronics store is located on the corner of Atlantic and Fourth Avenue in downtown Brooklyn New York.

This is one store that no one should go to if you don’t want to get ripped off. You are actually better off going to the PC Richards store for electronics which just happens to be right across the street from the Pro Line store. So buyer beware for in hard economic times such as today the last thing anyone wants to happen is too loose good, hard-earned money.

THE NAME IS BOND, JAMES BOND, AND THE QUEST IS ON.

After my last post about the African arts festival, I spent the week on researching and reviewing three books that I plan to use as reference for my photography work. After spending a few days of on-line research I have decided to go get them. Now I thought that would be easy to do, just go to the local Barnes and Noble http://www.barnesandnoble.com/ and purchase them.

Well guess what? It was not, and a simple trip to the book store became a quest that spanned a few days. Now of course I could have made the purchase on-line, but thought that it would be better and easier to just go out and get them.

So I had taken a walk to downtown Brooklyn to a local Barnes and Noble and to my dismay they did not have the three books that I was looking for. So after spending a short moment in the store I thought to try a few book stores that I know of in the area that were more like “mom and pop” shops than a major chain.

While walking to my next location on a semi- crowded street, I hear a voice say “Yo… Lu Logic.” Now of course if someone sees a friend on the street one might call out there name. Or if they are close enough just reach out to get their attention and say “hi.” The part of this encounter that I found interesting and funny was the fact that I responded.

Granted I did not change my last name and “logic” is not one of my nick names. Over the years I have had friends call me by the following nick names. Luigi, Lestat, Loki, Lu-Lu, Piglet, but never “logic.” And actually come to think of it. I think I responded because I did hear “Lu.” So for me it was a normal reaction.

The person that called out to me was a total stranger, some guy trying to sell me some CD’s of music that he made. The reason that he called me the way that he did was because of the tee-shirt that I had on, the shirt that promotes my blog.

Now I wonder what would have happened if I had a tee-shirt that just said on it “007?” Does that now make me known as James Bond?

Would the person that called out to me say “Yo James.” If I did have such a tee-shirt on? If anything I would give him credit for originality in getting my attention. But a simple “hello” or “excuse me” would have worked just as well too. After hearing his short speech trying to sell me his CD I had politely turned him down and continued on my way.

For I was a man on a mission looking for these three books that I wanted. The mom and pop book stores that I went to did not have them also. So I tried another Barnes and Noble the next day, and once again this store that I went to did not have them as well. At this point I did feel like James Bond on a mission to find something that would save the world. Or in my case just make my day a good one.

So my exploration took me to a different place. Unlike James Bond who would fly off to some exotic land via British Airways first class. Little old me just had to take the subway into a place that was not so exotic like Rome or Paris. It was Manhattan. And of course when you ride the subway in New York City there is no first class, you are packed into a train with all the other masses of people.

So this was a “budget special” mission for me. Unlike Bond with his unlimited expense account, all I had was an unlimited train pass to get on the subway. Once in Manhattan I had gone to what was now my third Barnes and Noble book store to see if I could find what I was looking for. And I did have one more location to look into if they did not have it.

Three Barnes and Noble book stores and two mom and pop book stores in total searched and still no luck so far in finding what I was looking for. When I did get to the Barnes and Noble book store in the west village of Manhattan, I actually found what I was looking for all three books.

I asked a clerk there why such a shortage. And it seems that after he checked his files it seems that the books are on the verge of going out of publication, for reasons unknown. They might be in the process of updating them or just might go out of print.

The clerk even mentioned that if I had ordered it on-line there was no guarantee that it would have been available. So actually going hunting for them and traveling around town was the best thing for me to do. It did take a total of two and a half days. But I did find and get what I was looking for. So in an odd little way it was “mission accomplished” for me.

The three books will be great material for me to review when I work on my photography and will give me ideas as well. So my quest is finished and completed if I was Bond I am sure his boss “M” would just say “Bravo James, job well done.”

Personally… I am just glad I found what I was looking for. Funny how things turn out when it takes longer than expected, but it was worth the adventure for me.

A DAY SPENT AT THE 39TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL AFRICAN ARTS FESTIVAL.

Over the fourth of July weekend I have spent the day at the International African arts festival. http://www.iaafestival.org/ A yearly event held at Commodore Barry Park in Fort Greene Brooklyn. I had missed the event last year. But made it a point to check it out and explore it this year.

The event was three days of activities with live music, food, dance, and performances. An African market place, hair and fashion shows along with activities for children of all ages such as face painting and a kid’s talent show. The festival theme for this year was “Uhuru Sasa” freedom now.

Once I have arrived there and made a three dollar donation to enter I proceeded to explore the festival. My first thought about it was the fact that the event was very large. Commodore Barry Park in Fort Greene Brooklyn is a very large park, and every single free space was used. I actually found myself walking around the event more than once just to make sure that I have not missed anything.

The second thing that I have noticed was the interaction of the people there. Very friendly and more than willing to strike up a conversation with you, unlike a previous event that I have covered and posted on my blog where there was major attitude and people tried to avoid one another.

That was not the case at this event, no people with attitudes trying to avoid each other. Everyone was interacting and fully engaged as if they were old friends a very peaceful and relaxing event. Myself I do enjoy interactions with new people or just with people in general so on that aspect I did have a very good time.

Matter of fact when I was at the event I had worn my tee-shirt that has printed on the front and back of it my blog logo and website address. I have had quite a few people asking about my blog and what it was all about. After telling them that my blog is about me and my daily adventures in my life, along with my thoughts and “logic” on how things are in the world and from time to time covering events in and around the city such as this one. Most if not all wanted to know what it was like being a blogger and photographer. Some vendors even requested that I show case some of their work. Those details will be later in this post for there are a few that I have found very interesting and willing to make comments about.

The third and final thing that I have noticed was all the vendors selling their items. Some where selling items that you can say where “standard.” Such as tee shirts, paintings, bags clothes and so on. Then you had the vendors that were selling and promoting more exotic items. Such as items from Africa like mud cloths and wooden statues. At one point I felt that I was no longer in Brooklyn, but in a far away land within its local shopping district where people go to trade and barter for items.

Below are some of the photos that I have taken of the event, and photos of a few other “interesting” things that I have seen while I was there. On a side note I am more than willing to cover this event next year.

Below are photos and information of a few vendors that caught my attention.

A CHILDHOOD DREAM IS ABOUT TO COME TRUE.

As a kid one of my fantasies in life was to travel into space. I like to think that in one way or another we all shared that dream. We all heard the stories when we were children of flying cars in the future and as well going into orbit to visit a space station or even being able to visit a base on the moon as being a regular part of life.

And then reality sets in and that reality is that none of this ever happened. Yes we do have the International Space Station. http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/station/main/index.html and before that there was the Russian MIR space station and Skylab as well, and the Apollo-Soyuz space missions. And of course we have the glory days of NASA. http://www.nasa.gov/ Space projects Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and the Space Shuttle. Be we never was able to make space travel a regular part of life for the average person.

As a child I was a fan of science-fiction and I am still a fan of it as an adult. I recall when I was younger watching television shows like Star Trek http://www.startrek.com/ Space 1999 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_1999 and UFO http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFO_%28TV_series%29 Even the original and the remake of Battlestar Galactica http://www.syfy.com/battlestar/ The remake was a fantastic show and I totally loved it. I have even watched the prequel Caprica http://www.syfy.com/caprica/ and that is another great show I think. And of course my all time favorite movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2001:_A_Space_Odyssey_%28film%29

Well it looks like my childhood dream of going into space is about to come true in an odd roundabout way. It seems that NASA has a program called “Face in Space.” You can view the site at. https://faceinspace.nasa.gov/index.aspx The text below is from the homepage of “Face in Space.”

“NASA wants to put a picture of you on one of the two remaining space shuttle missions and launch it into orbit. LaterReturn to this site after launch to print your Flight Certificate – a commemorative certificate signed by the Mission Commander.”

I thought that this was so cool. So of course without any hesitation I signed up and submitted a photo to send into orbit. Once you submit your name, and photo you print a confirmation page that has your ID number to use later to get your flight certificate. According to the website once the Space Shuttle lands after its mission you go back to the site seven days later to get your certificate.

I have always wanted to check out a shuttle launch in person, but never have. But when one does launch I try to catch it on television. So I thought this was just perfect for me. It’s not actually me going up but an image and I am totally fine with that. Besides it’s the final two launches who would not want to be a part of that and history? As well there is no fee or cost for doing this, it’s totally free and free is always a good thing.

After submitting my information and my best photo I have saved my confirmation to my net book. While looking at my confirmation I joked to myself. “I just booked a flight on the space shuttle.” My photo will be going up on flight STS-133. http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/shuttle/shuttlemissions/sts133/index.html

I picked that flight because it’s the space shuttle Discovery that will be going up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Shuttle_Discovery And if you recall earlier in my post I mentioned that my all time favorite movie is 2001: A Space Odyssey. And if you remember the spaceship that character Astronaut David Bowman traveled in was named “Discovery One.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discovery_One HAL was the super computer that operated the spaceship. So in an odd little way it’s my tribute to my love of science fiction and my childhood fantasy of going off into space.

And of course I am not actually going up in the flight; it’s just a photograph that will be taking my place. But at lease by sending a photo it will be a part of me that will be going up into orbit.

When this launch does happen I do plan to view it on television for now I have a special interest since my image will be going up. And you know I will be screaming at the top of my lungs yelling “go, go, go” when it does launch.

Not everyone gets to live out their childhood dream. But if given the opportunity to live out your childhood dream how could you refuse such an offer not to do so? The only difference between a dream and reality is that one (the dream) never happens. It just stays a thought… So for me to be involved in this project by NASA along with many other people who have signed up just brings the dream to life for me.

So I am counting down to the 4:33 p.m. EDT – November. 1, 2010 launch. For on that day a dream becomes a reality.

THE FINAL MOMENT OF WORLD CUP.

While in Brooklyn at an area known as DUMBO which actually stands for Down Underneath Manhattan Bridge Overpass. And in this case I actually was within the overpass archway of the Manhattan Bridge with many more people watching the final game of world cup soccer. For the past few weeks you was able to go view the game within the open space of the archway of the Manhattan Bridge and watch the games on a very large projection screen. Everyone was focused on the world cup; from people checking out the game to a news reporter covering the event as well, even I was interested in the final outcome.

Now I have to admit that I did not follow the world cup, unlike most people who have. I would just catch highlights via television news or by reading the local news paper. But this was the last and final day of the event and I did want to catch the final moment and people’s reactions. After all with all the hype for the past thirty days and people going to bars to see the event, I thought it would be worth checking out the final day.

And I have to be honest, for I did not see the entire last game. I showed up at the last half hour for like I mentioned I wanted the catch the final moment of the event. While the world cup was coming to a close it started to rain for a storm cloud did pass by overhead. But I stayed just like all the other people who were there and we all got soaking wet.

But getting wet was worth it and fun for what I wanted to do when I was there. What I wanted to do and have done was photograph the exact moment of people’s reaction to the end of the world cup. I have noticed that while the world cup was going on groups of people and strangers would band together and cheer for their favorite team, just like everyone does during a major sporting event. And with this being a sporting event that has lasted a month it was all now coming to a close.

With that all said here are ten continuous photos of the exact moment Spain won the world cup and people’s reactions to the win.

And of course the crowd goes wild as you can see by the photo below when someone tossed a full can of soda into the air.

And what’s a world cup without someone blowing that horn we all have heard.

Overall a good time had by all in the final moments. Now that all is said and done we can all go back to our lives, and wait for the next world cup.

MURDER ON PARK AVENUE.

On Friday afternoon I was out and about taking care of a few errands that I needed to get done. While traveling (via walking) to my next appointment I was going east on Park Avenue in Fort Greene Brooklyn. On this particular avenue you will walk by the Walt Whitman housing projects. I have noticed that the street was closed off to traffic with yellow “do not cross” police tape.

Cars were forced to change directions however people were still allowed to pass through. So I continued my walk not thinking much about it. Then all of the sudden I have realized that I walked right into a crime scene. It seems that there was a shooting and someone was killed. The crime happened on Park Avenue and North Oxford Street in Ft. Greene Brooklyn.

Police and the office of medical examiner truck were there at the scene. Once I have seen the medical examiner truck that’s when I have known that someone was killed. If that was not the case the medical examiner would not have been there. Proximity eight to ten gunshots were fired based on the yellow number markers I have seen that NYPD had placed in the area.

According to the New York Daily news http://www.nydailynews.com/ the victim was twenty-six year old Michael Jones. What exactly happened no one knows it might have been an argument, or a drug deal gone bad as of today no arrests have been made.

Many folks out in the area where shocked and sadden by this.

For this was  something that anyone would not expect to happen on any given day, but unfortunately it did. As well the person might have been just an innocent bystander that was just caught in the cross fire. For during the summer time people have been known to just sit outside on a bench in the projects and just take in the nice day.

While I was there NYPD was in the process of finding out who this person was that was killed and if there were any next of kin to contact. Unfortunately in many of these types of cases when it comes to a housing project shooting it’s a young kid or person that is killed. For a parent to be able to outlive their child is a very sad thing and no parent should have to go through such a thing.

Since the area was closed off I had to take these photographs from a distance. At one point while taking the photos a police officer did ask me what I was doing. And after I told him that “I was taking photos of what happened.” The police officer asked me “mind if I take a look at them?” So I showed them to him not really thinking much of the request. After he reviewed the photos that I showed him, the police officer replied back to me saying. “Nice photos, good close up shots… Cool. O-Kay you can go ahead.”

Turns out the police officer was assigned to watch and cover the area from a distance and wanted to see what was happening up close. So he just asked me to see my close up photos since he could not get near the scene at that moment.

On the next day Saturday afternoon I went back to the area to see if anything else was going on. All that is left was a memorial for the victim and a few police officers on patrol. Below are the photos that I have taken while I was there on both days.

Below are photos of the next day (Saturday) after all was said and done once the NYPD crime scene unit left the area.

OH NO! NOT YOU GUYS TOO!

So I have recently found out that two of my closest friends are now unemployed. The long arm of unemployment has reached two of my friends who live in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Now of course unemployment is high in North Carolina and Pennsylvania just like it is in New York State. But up until recently they were both working.

And being a person that still has a job in this bad economy is one that is very lucky. And to a small extent I thought that they were “lucky” to have been working during these bad times. Matter of fact my friend that lives in Pennsylvania lost his administrative position that he has worked at for the last twenty-four years.

And my other friend in North Carolina lost his job of five years. It came as quite a shock to hear such bad news coming from the both of them. Matter of fact they both lost their jobs one day apart from each other. I had found out the news from them via separate phone calls. I called my friend in Pennsylvania one day just to see how he was doing and he told me the bad news.

After talking to him on the phone I immediately called my other friend in North Carolina to tell him the news since we do all know each other we at times might even do a conference call just to catch up with one another. But this time a conference call was not made, so I of course had to make two separate phone calls.

And after I told my friend in North Carolina the news he tells me. “I just lost my job too.” I was so taken away by the fact that they both lost their jobs at the same time. After a few days have passed I called my friend in North Carolina and then conference in my other friend from Pennsylvania. And we had a little group talk about being unemployed.

We all kicked around our thoughts about it and at one point I joked to the both of them saying “welcome to my world.” For out of the three of us I have been unemployed the longest. In days past they would both ask me “How I was holding up?” Checking up on me and my unemployment situation, but now it’s me asking them the same question. But the conversation was not all about being unemployed.

We joked and reminisced about days past and the fun we all once had when all three of us were together in the same state. And after some time of recalling days past, we all talked about what to do next since we are all not working. Our thoughts were wide and vast and at one point I suggested that me and my friend from Pennsylvania take a road trip to North Carolina just to take a break and regroup our thoughts.

Well… I thought it was a good idea. And so did my friend in North Carolina. But my friend who lives in Pennsylvania is a little hesitant. And that is totally understandable for he does own a house that he is making payments on and of course all his other bills. Once he gets situated with his unemployment and adjusts his spending and budget that may change.

I am all game for the road trip myself; I think it would be good for all of us. To use the time to get away and just take a break from the stress of life. All in good time this trip may happen, and personally I hope it does. For it would be a very fun and interesting adventure.

Once the conference phone call started to come to a close we all had the feeling of “glad we have gotten that off our chest.” For a good part of the call was a venting session among good friends. And sometimes a person needs that. Just to let out thoughts that one might have kept to themselves. Good friendships are hard to find and I have known these two guys for ten years now.

Friendships… or true friendships I should say will stay around no matter what happens. Though the good, the bad and the ugly. We all have had our bad moments, but I know that I can turn to my two closest friends if I ever need to talk and vent. And they know that they can do the same as well. And we all have done so in the past.

It’s a low point in our lives right now, but in time that low point will change to a high point. I always say that “things happen for a reason.” And I have even mentioned that to my friends. For one never knows what good can come from a sad event.  And actually when I did make my comment, both of my friends did agree that something good might come out of this. The question is of course “what will be the outcome?”

We will never know right away, for God’s plan is never complete. But in time we will all find out. So at this point all we can do is our best and support each other if need be. For that is what friendships are for. To support you in the good and bad times. Who knows what the final outcome will be? But if it’s good then we all will have something to be happy about. And maybe one day we will all look back at this and laugh about it. I know I plan to. So hang in their guys! Better times are coming, when I don’t know. But they will come.

HEAT WAVE IN THE CITY.

One of the few things I don’t like is very hot summer heat. It’s the worst thing that anyone has to be subjected to. And this week it seems the temperature in New York City will reach highs of ninety to one-hundred degrees.

It’s moments like this I just stay indoors and don’t go out unless I have to. And of course god forbid if I have to take the subway. http://www.mta.info/ The temperature gets even hotter underground and not all train stations have air conditioning.

Then there are those moments as well when you get into the subway train and the air conditioning is not working as well. That just makes matters worse. Usually what I do is when I hear about a major heat wave in the city I stock up on items so that I don’t have a reason to go outside in this heat.

Such as Gatorade and pre-cooked packaged foods so that I don’t have to spend too much time in the kitchen. I may even get a watermelon to treat myself too. I don’t buy bottled water that is a waste of money. Why pay for water when you get it for free from the faucet?

Besides I think that bottled water is just nicely packaged tap water any way. What a rip off if you ask me. Now of course I could go to the beach, but in this very hot weather everybody and their mother would be out there as well, just way too crowded for me to go out there.

So I just stay at home and try not to do much.  It’s one of the “odd” benefits of being unemployed. If one does not have to go out, then they don’t have to at all and just say indoors. I can be a hermit until this heat wave passes. Any plans that I have originally made before all this heat can be put on hold for now. I guess this is what they meant by “lazy days of summer.”

And actually I could use the time at home to work on some blog posting that are in development and just have not posted yet for I still have to post the details of the latter part of my holiday weekend. Matter of fact even my last photography session was done at home. I had spent the time working on some head shots for myself.

Once the temperature calms down and gets to a reasonable point then I will pick up where I left off and venture out once again. But until then I will just keep myself indoors. So my best advice to anyone dealing with this heat is this.”Just stay inside and only go out if you really need to.” It’s not worth getting a case of heat stroke being out there.

And if you really do need to go out there, then do so in the early morning hours or late night when the temperature is cooler. Actually I think I worked up a sweat just ranting about this heat. So right now I am going to get up close and personal with my new best friend, the air conditioner.

THE FOURTH OF JULY AND FDNY.

The fourth of July also known as “Independence Day” a day that reflects our American history. A day that we all enjoy by going to the beach, or a barbecue and maybe even check out some fireworks. Even for some people traveling to other locations to visit friends and family, or as well maybe going to a cemetery to visit the grave site of someone who fought for our freedom that we do at times take advantage of.

During the first part of my holiday weekend while walking around in Brooklyn New York I had literally turned the corner and walked right into an emergency situation. What had happened was a local pizza shop was opening up for its usual business and as they started the ovens to make their pizza’s some of the customers (a total of seven) started to feel ill. It was not from the food. It was from the extreme amount of gas and heat that was coming out from the ovens. Plus since the place was just opening up for the day, the interior was exceptionally warm as well.

Someone it seems called the fire department http://www.nyc.gov/html/fdny/html/home2.shtml And FDNY came quickly to examine the situation. No serious injuries or deaths thank goodness. Not a good way to start the holiday weekend for anyone. But it does make one glad that we have services like police and firemen that come to our aid all year around. The fourth of July is considered a holiday too many people. But at the same time many have died in the past so that we can all enjoy the freedoms that we all now have.

The photos below show the event of what happened that day. And to a small extent pay tribute to the brave men and women that keep us all safe and sound.

CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE ONLINE KIND.

Last night I had gone online to a website called Adam 4 Adam. Also known as “A4A” in gay inner circles. http://www.adam4adam.com/ Or to put it more correctly an “online pick up site.” And while I was on this site last night some guy had sent me a message saying that he “Liked my profile.” Which is one of the many pick up lines used on that site if someone is interested in meeting you.

After replying back and a few more e-mails from this person. I have realized that this guy that was trying to pick me up was actually someone who I once dated years ago. And the funny thing about this was the fact they did not recognize who I was.

Once I have discovered who they were I double checked their profile, it says the following below as a description of themselves.

34, 5’11″, 160lb, 33w, Swimmer’s, Shaved Hair, Smooth, Black

And guess what? The above stats are a lie. They are not the age thirty-four currently this I know for a fact let’s just say add about thirteen more years to the age posted. Weight take away about twenty pounds, and as for the swimmers build they posted as a body type. Let’s just change that to “thin as a rail.”

I have to admit that I busted a gut once I had seen these stats. The fact that someone has to go to extremes to lie about themselves just shows how untruthful one can be. Matter of fact that is one of the many reasons that I stopped dating them so many years back, they was quite a liar.

And of course re-reading the exchange of e-mails after realizing who it was I just kept saying to myself “liar, liar your panties are on fire.” Now you would think that people would change with age, lord knows I have and the changes I have made were for the better I feel.

But it seems that he has not changed at all, kind of funny when you think about it, that people have to lie just to be accepted. Or maybe that they just don’t know any better? Now of course I did not tell them who exactly I was for I did not want this person back in my life for any reason at all. So I did start to keep my answers very short.

After a few more exchanges of e-mails I think they got the picture and ended our chat. Which is fine with me for I did not want to be one of his conquests again. You would think that when you meet someone for the first time that they would be totally honest with you, but of course that would be a perfect world and that is not what we all live in currently.

But it just makes me wonder how far people will go just to get what they want from another person. If he does send me another e-mail I don’t plan on opening it or replying back to him, for I know what he is all about and its best that I just stay away from him. I do have to admit that I am glad that I found out who he was online rather than meeting in person for that would have been awkward and somewhat embarrassing.

I personally keep good and fair people in my life, people who are a positive influence and that are open, honest, fair and balanced. I don’t have time for liars or people who try to pretend they are something that they are actually not. I find life to be much better when you get rid of such bull crap and the people who bring such crap along like as if it’s a nap sack that they have to bring with them every were they go. Once you get rid of people who are liars you see life in a clear and positive way.

But all is said and done and I do get to avoid such a potential embarrassing moment. And of course knowing him once he realizes that I will no longer be talking to him again online he will think that I am a jerk. When actually he was the jerk that I have to let go so many years ago. Funny how in such a big city as New York, you can always encounter people who you have not heard from in so many years past.

If you ask me, an alien close encounter and or abduction would have been way better than seeing my ex again.
